Dear Friends in Christ,
Session had a fruitful meeting this past Tuesday. I write to share some of the news. Ken will share more about each of these on Sunday during the Session Report, as well as several other important events for your attention.
Lastly, I wish to share that I've been delighted to hear about the Sailboat Church conversations happening each week. Keep up the good work and those daily devotions. As a way to connect readings with what is happening here at COTC, look for a moment at the beginning of Chapter 5 of Sailboat Church, Rev Gray states, "Sailboat churches live to partner with the Holy Spirit in what God wants to do for the world. This is our mission. In so doing we follow Jesus, who lived to do the work of "the one who sent me" (John 4:34) Involvement in mission is also the way the church finds its continuing life and vitality." (Gray, pg31)
Friends in Christ, this happens in big and small ways. One small way we experienced the Holy Spirit's activity was an invitation from Lakeview School to be a distribution point for Taco Meals the school was providing for their families week. Thank you to Judie and Sue and Chris for welcoming our neighbors and handing out these meals. People are being fed. Compassion is being shared. Meeting our neighbors is happening, in small incremental ways. Thanks be to God!!
Yours in Christ,
Pastor Julie

- Masks are now optional, though if encouraged if you are not vaccinated.
- COTC will be collecting funds for the Ukraine humanitarian efforts through the Presbyterian Disaster Assistance (PDA) instead of One Great Hour of Sharing this year.
